Academy Parent Ambassadors Programme: Strengthening Parental Engagement

At Stanground Academy, we are committed to building stronger connections with our parent community, and we’re thrilled to introduce our Academy Parent Ambassadors (APAs) programme! This new initiative aims to enhance parental involvement and ensure our academy continues to thrive.

Our APAs will play a key role in supporting the academy and wider Trust by:

• Overseeing stakeholder feedback and engagement
• Meeting three times a year to discuss key issues and contribute ideas for school improvement
• Engaging directly with the Board of Trustees and the Chief Executive Officer annually

Unlike traditional governor roles, APAs do not carry any legal responsibilities, making this a flexible and accessible way for parents to get involved. If you have more time and would like to take on additional responsibilities, we’d be delighted to explore broader opportunities with you!

These new structures, alongside our commitment to parental engagement, will officially come into effect in January 2025, following our recent governance review. We believe this approach will foster a more engaged and supportive community for the benefit of our students.
